Yo! Boardshop Taniwha is a shop born from the idea of Mat and his passion for snowboarding and wakeboarding. In Locarno he shares the space with the other young guys from "981 Bikeshop": he believes in promoting board sports in Ticino and collaborates with young sportsmen in the area.
story
Boardshop Taniwha was born on August 29, 2013 in the cellar of Mat: the passion for snowboarding and wakeboarding fueled the shop, which in 2016 found a permanent base in Locarno. The close collaboration with the nearby shop "981 Bikeshop ", made it possible to expand the offer. The following sectors are added to the range of products: skateboard, wakesurf, ski, kitesurf, trottinette, snowbike and drifttrike. The expansion of the offer in areas more linked to lifestyle, with a focus on women's clothing was a decisive step for Taniwha. The purchase of two machines for the ski and snowboard service then made it possible to offer a more complete service. In 2020 Mat introduced a novelty in his shop: with 13 years of experience as a wakesurf / wakesurf instructor behind him, buy a boat that he makes available to customers for private lessons. The possibility of repairing surfboards and wakesurfing directly in the shop also followed.
